DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is seeking public input on its draft 2023 Lake Restoration Report and 2024 Plan, which would have an impact on Three Mile Lake in the KXCV/KRNW listening area.

The report details completed projects across the state in the fiscal year 2023 and outlines plans for upcoming lake restoration initiatives.

The Lake Restoration Program, funded by a legislative investment of over $147 million since its inception in 2006, collaborates with communities to enhance water quality and recreational opportunities at publicly-owned lakes.

Notable 2023 projects include dredging at Three Mile Lake in Union County. The DNR is accepting public comments until December 18 via email and by mail. To review the 2024 Plan, visit iowadnr.gov.
