ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is offering a prescribed burn workshop in St. Joseph tomorrow from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Attendees will be educated on the proper techniques of using prescribed burns for vegetation management.
The workshop covers planning, execution, and safety measures of prescribed burns for wildlife habitat and forage pastures with native warm-season grasses.
The event will be held indoors and includes equipment demonstrations, videos, and discussions with MDC staff. Registration is required, and participants need to complete a virtual-online portion with a $25 fee.
The workshop aims to ensure the safe and efficient use of prescribed burns for environmental benefits. More information, as well as registration, is available at mdc.mo.gov.
