MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Maryville Public Library is set to host a Book Fair this Saturday, featuring eight local authors and various attractions for Christmas shoppers and readers alike.

This year, attendees can enjoy public readings by four local authors, adding a new dimension to the event.

Amy Houts, a prolific children's book author, will kick off the readings with excerpts from her latest work, "God's Earth is Something to Fight For."

Award-winning horror novelist Jason Offutt will captivate the audience with a reading from "The Girl in the Corn," recognized as the best horror novel and audiobook of 2022.

Lauren Leach-Steffens will enchant with passages from her adult romance series, "The Kringle Chronicles," while Kandi Hughes, author of "The Flame Manipulator Series," will present her first children's book, "Santa's First Wool Duster."

The Book Fair will also feature local photographers providing free photo shoots and young entrepreneurs selling their products.
