Four Maryville High School football players earned top honors from the Missouri Fooball Coaches Association on Friday.
Lucas Vierthaler and Gus McCullough were named MOFBCA Class 3 Second Team All-State, while Derek Quinlin and Delton Davis received third team all-state. It is the first all-state honor for each Spoofhound.
Vierthaler, a junior lineman, received the recognition for his work as a stalwart on the Maryville offense that put up 40 or more points six times on the way to a conference title.
McCullough, a junior linebacker, was a staple on the Spoofhound defense racking up 9 tackles-for-loss and a sack.
Quinlin, a senior quarterback, threw for 2,253 yards, 23 touchdowns and just six interceptions, with Davis as his primary target. Davis finished the year with 57 receptions, 1,001 yards and 12 touchdowns.
