SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - A former Northwest Missouri State University President is finalist to become the next president of Missouri State University.
John Jasinski is one of the three finalists announced by the Missouri State University Board of Governors. Jasinski served as Northwest president from 2009 to 2022.
After his contract wasn't renewed at Northwest, Jasinski became a provost at Missouri State in 2022 and is a senior consultant for the American Association of State College and Universities.
The two other candidates for the Missouri State President position are Roger Thompson, who is vice president for student services and enrollment management at the University of Oregon, and Richard Williams, who is president of Utah Tech University.
