St. Joseph man charged in hit-and-run

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A 41-year-old St. Joseph man is facing charges in connection with a hit-and-run in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Brian Zug is charged with DWI causing death and leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death.

According to court documents, Zug was driving a Ford F-150 on North Oak in North Kansas City when he allegedly struck a bicyclist near 82nd Street in the early morning hours of January 14.

The bicyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown off and died at the scene. The identity of the bicyclist hasn't been revealed.
