Infighting stalls MO Senate one month in

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - So far this legislative session, a civil war has been playing out amongst Republicans in the Missouri Senate.

The newly reformed Freedom Caucus, sometimes called the Chaos Caucus, spent the first month in Jefferson City using procedural tactics to slow routine work.

Senator Rusty Black says he understands why Senate President Caleb Rowden penalized the newly formed Freedom Caucus members by stripping them of their committee chairmanships.

The Freedom Caucus has stated they have on goal in mind this year, making it harder to amend the Missouri constitution.
