FOREST CITY, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a St. Joseph teenager is in serious condition after a motorcycle wreck.
18-year-old Austin Ama was driving a 2024 Kawasaki Ninja on U.S. Highway 159, about three miles south of Forest City.
At 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Ama claims a deer entered the road and he attempted to avoid it, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle overturned and skid off the road, ejecting Ama. He was taken to Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph with serious injuries.
