CAMERON, Mo. - A major highway in the KXCV/KRNW listening area will undergo a significant closure.
I-35, between Route 69 south of Cameron and Route 116 in Lathrop, will close for 24 hours, starting next Monday at 6 p.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The closure is part of a bridge replacement project on Route H. Phillips Hardy, in collaboration with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will spearhead the demolition and removal of the Route H bridge.
To mitigate disruptions, a signed detour will direct traffic onto Routes 69 and 116. During this period, access to several routes will be restricted, prompting motorists to seek alternative paths.
Route H itself will be closed to through traffic from NE Estep Road to U.S. Route 69, starting Monday, with completion slated for November 2024. For detailed detour routes and project updates, visit modot.org.
