CREIGHTON, Mo. - A St. Joseph man has been charged after allegedly fleeing from authorities and crashing his vehicle with a child inside. 45-year-old Jacob Rullman is charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office said the chase occurred after they attempted to pull over a vehicle on January 29 around 4:30 p.m. on 7 Highway, near Creighton.
The vehicle's driver failed to stop, leading officers on a chase throughout the county. Multiple vehicles joined the pursuit, which reached speeds of 105 mph at one point.
The pursuit concluded when a tire deflation device was deployed near 2 Highway and Kauffman, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Rullman is being held at the Cass County Jail on a $200,000 cash only bond.
