Authorities find and arrest dangerous fugitive

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - In a joint effort between the Livingston County Sheriff's Office and the Chillicothe Police Department, a fugitive case took a significant turn.

Acting on leads, deputies and officers converged on the 1700 block of Deringer Drive in Chillicothe last Thursday, suspecting that 42-year-old Kevin Head, was holed up in a residence.

Head, wanted on an active Parole Warrant since April 13, 2022, initially managed to evade authorities during a brief chase and subsequent foot pursuit.

However, he was later found attempting to conceal himself under a nearby deck and was apprehended.

Head was incarcerated in the Caldwell County Detention Center before being transferred to the Missouri Department of Corrections in St. Joseph.

The investigation led to a search of the residence, resulting in the seizure of multiple items, including methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a rifle, and other items.
