CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - The Livingston County Sheriff's Office has joined hands with POWER UP to launch a crucial self-defense program tailored for women aged 12 and above.
POWER UP aims to bolster self-confidence, awareness, and personal safety among participants, offering valuable skills applicable in various situations.
Scheduled for Friday, May 31, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the program spans nine hours of comprehensive training in Chillicothe. Registration is mandatory and closes on May 10.
Interested individuals can register by calling Sindy Thomas at 660-240-9412. The initiative emphasizes the importance of self-protection, particularly in today's world, where safety concerns are prevalent.
