The Missouri Department of Conservation is offering a Hunter Education Skills Session later this month.
The session will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16th at the Northwest Technical School in Maryville. At the session, participants will have the opportunity to receive a hunter education certificate that is required to obtain hunting permits. Participants will also learn about hunter safety and gain valuable knowledge about how to hunt.
The certification course can be completed online by hunters 16 years or older along with a paid fee to an online provider. Hunters 15 years or younger are required to take the free skills class in person, although they will need to complete the knowledge portion of the class prior to the in-person skills class. The skills sessions classes are offered to students 11 years or older and registration is required.
