Tornadoes are some of the most destructive natural forces and it's the focus of today during Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Missouri and Kansas.
Meteorologist with the National Weather Service, Scott Blair, says tornadoes can happen anytime and anywhere.
The safest shelter location for tornadoes is generally an interior room without windows on the lowest floor of sturdy structure, preferably in the basement.KXCV-KRNW
