ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - "Amadeus! Amadeus!" takes center stage with the St. Joseph Symphony this week. Under the direction of Chris Kelts, the performance will take place this Saturday at the Missouri Theater.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the performance starts an hour later. The performance will highlight Lory Lacy, the Principal Flutist, presenting Mozart's Concerto in D major.

Lacy's connection to the flute concerto runs deep, having first tackled it for competition at the tender age of 15. Decades later, she revisits the piece, describing it as a powerful journey culminating on stage.

Reflecting on her musical evolution, she shares the magic of Mozart's compositions, describing them as hieroglyphic messages from beyond the grave.

This performance, she emphasizes, has been a lifetime in the making, honoring her mentors, her family, and the young musician she once was.

Now seasoned with years of experience, Lacy is poised to deliver an unforgettable rendition.
