JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Economic Development’s Office of Broadband Development has announced the launch of the Missouri Broadband Availability Challenge Process, aiming to allocate $1.7 billion in funding from the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment program.

The challenge is open until April 23 and seeks to ensure that every Missourian has access to quality internet service.

The challenge process allows individuals and stakeholders to contest the accuracy of the Missouri Broadband Availability Map regarding internet service quality and accessibility at specific locations.

During the challenge period, service providers will have to respond to challenges with rebuttal evidence.

Interested parties, including nonprofits, local governments, and internet service providers, can register through the challenge portal. More information, as well as a chance to participate, can be found at broadbandmap.mo.gov.
