Downtown Maryville announces plans for this year's fall event

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Downtown Maryville has announced this year's "Fall into Fun" event. It happens on Sunday, September 29, at Maryville’s downtown square.

This family-friendly extravaganza promises a day packed with events, including the new addition, a Giant Pumpkin Growing Contest.

Green thumbs and pumpkin enthusiasts will showcase their gardening prowess. Participants will receive pumpkin seedlings and expert tips to nurture these seedlings into colossal, prize-winning pumpkins.

To join the pumpkin-growing fun, growers can register online, with a registration fee covering the cost of seedlings. The deadline for pre-registration is May 15, and seedling pick-up day is scheduled for May 18.

The weigh-in event will take place on September 28, followed by the display and crowning of winners on September 29 during the Fall into Fun event. Growers have the chance to win the $1000 grand prize.
