MDC approves changes to upcoming bird hunting seasons

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Conservation Commission approved the Missouri Department of Conservation's recommendations for the upcoming 2024 migratory-game-bird-hunting seasons.

For migratory game bird hunting, the season for Mourning Doves, Eurasian Collared Doves, and White-Winged Doves will run from September 1 through November 29, with a combined daily limit of 15 birds.

The Sora and Virginia Rails season is set for September 1st through November 9th, with a daily limit of 25 birds.

The Wilson's Snipe season spans September 1 through December 16, with a daily limit of 8 birds, and the American Woodcock season is from October 18 through December 1, with a daily limit of 3 birds.
