HAMBURG, Iowa - Iowa authorities have made an arrest in connection with a theft case reported last month in Hamburg.

Enrique Roy Aldana, aged 46 and hailing from Nebraska City, Nebraska, was apprehended by deputies on charges of Theft 2nd Degree.

The arrest stems from an incident reported on March 6th, where a trailer valued at over $6,000 was stolen from a business on Main Street.

Surveillance footage captured Aldana, along with an unidentified male, allegedly stealing the trailer. Following an investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Aldana.

He was later apprehended in Otoe County, Nebraska, and subsequently extradited to Iowa. After posting a $10,000 surety bond, Aldana was released from custody.

However, authorities have yet to recover the stolen trailer, and efforts to identify Aldana's accomplice are ongoing.

Officials urge anyone with information regarding this case or those who may have recently purchased a trailer from Aldana to contact the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office.
