SHENANDOAH, Iowa - In response to the prolonged drought conditions gripping the city, Shenandoah's Wilson Aquatic Center has announced that it won't open for the 2024 season.
With the city under stage 4 water rationing, the Parks and Recreation Department is prioritizing necessary repairs and maintenance to ensure the center's longevity.
This decision aligns with the water conservation ordinance, reflecting the city's commitment to responsible water usage.
Shenandoah urges citizens to adhere to the same rules outlined in the ordinance, as the entire city remains under stage 4 water conservation until further notice.
