JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri has taken a step forward with the unveiling of its draft of fiscal year 2025-29 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.

Presented to the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, the draft kicks off a 30-day public review and comment period.

This comprehensive plan allocates $13.8 billion of federal and state revenues for transportation projects over the next five years.

Of this amount, near $10 billion is earmarked for road and bridge construction, averaging around $2 billion annually.

Additionally, the plan outlines the use of $2.4 billion in General Revenue for the Improve Interstate 70 program, aiming to enhance safety and efficiency along nearly 200 miles of this critical corridor.

The draft STIP is now open for public review and feedback. Interested individuals can access the program online or contact MoDOT via email, phone, or mail. The formal comment period ends Thursday, May 30.
