MSHP: Four-vehicle wreck seriously injures woman

ambulance emergency

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says three people were injured in a four-vehicle crash in St. Joseph.

The Patrol says 23-year-old Kameron Reeves from Salina, Kansas, was traveling on Interstate 29 at 1:16 p.m. Monday in a 2022 Ford Transit Van, and passing a crash scene when the van was rear-ended by a 2019 Ford Escape, driven by 74-year-old Ginger Coverdell of St. Joseph.

Reeves pulled over to the shoulder, but as Coverdell slowed down, her vehicle was struck by a 2016 Ford Escape, driven by 30-year-old Abbey Williamson, also from St. Joseph.

A 2012 Ford F-350, driven by 29-year-old Bradley Corlous of Savannah, failed to notice the stopping vehicles and hit Williamson’s car.

Williamson’s vehicle then spun off the road and hit a guardrail, while Corlous’ vehicle came to rest on top of Williamson’s car. Williamson sustained serious injuries and was transported to Mosaic Life Care.

Corlous and his passenger, Matthew Jones from St. Joseph, received minor injuries and were also taken to the hospital for treatment.
