money donation

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The St. Joseph Museums have announced a $3,500 donation from local Walmart corporations to support their free programming initiative with the St. Joseph School District's Early Childhood Learning Centers at Lake Contrary and Mark Twain.

For the past year, the museums have provided hands-on, in-person programs to these centers twice a month, tailored to the students' study topics and incorporating museum artifacts.

Walmart North Belt contributed $1,000 and Walmart South Belt added $2,500 through the community grants program. These funds will cover the cost of materials, program development, and staff time for the 2024-25 school year.
