JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Agriculture has announced the availability of Food Insecure Cost-Share Grant funds, offering up to $50,000 per project.
These grants aim to benefit residents in urbanized areas affected by food insecurity, as designated by the U.S. Census Bureau. Applications are due by Aug. 31, and projects must be near completion by March 31, 2025.
The grant supports initiatives like farmers markets and economic development projects to reduce food insecurity in urban areas. Applicants will be reimbursed for 75% of total project expenses during the grant period.
