Chillicothe area artist, Nora Othic's, collection at the Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery will be concluding its exhibition with a free reception on Friday, August 2nd, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with an opportunity to meet the artist as well as purchase artworks.
Othic's collection has been on display since June 4th, showcasing her paintings depicting rural lifestyles and environmental impacts on human life. She notes that she refers to her art as "neo-regional," with influences from the 30s and 40s. Her art will also now be in the permanent collections of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City as well as other museums such as the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art in Sedalia and the Nerman Museum in Overland Park, Kansas.
Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery is open and free to the public from Tuesday though Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
