Grant money awarded for spray & neuter services

Cat and dog

The Missouri Department of Agriculture Animal Care is awarding $27,000 in grant money for spay and neuter programs. The grants are designed to provide low cost options for individuals who could not normally afford these services. Funds are being drawn from sales of specialty license plates, displaying the words "I'm Pet Friendly." The goal is to reduce the surplus of cats and dogs in Missouri. You can make donations to this grant at the Missouri State Humane Association website. More information about the Spay and Neuter Grant Program can be found on the Animal Care Facilities Act webpage.
