Interstate 35 accident kills one and injures three

Ambulance Emergency

One man was killed and three other people were seriously injured in a one vehicle accident on Interstate 35 Sunday.

According to the Missouri State Highway patrol, 31-year-old Victor Imad, of Manhattan, Kansas was killed when the car he was riding in travelled off the west side of the interstate in to the median. The Kia Sorento struck an emergency crossover, became airborne and overturned multiple times before coming to rest on its top. The accident happened about 7 miles north of Eagleville about 5:00 Sunday evening.

The patrol reports Imad was not wearing a seatbelt. 27-year-old Reena Bedros suffered serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa by Life Flight Eagle. She was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the car, 65-year-old Karam Bedros suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Another passenger in the car, 59-year-old Carla Bedros suffered serious injuries and was transported to Harrison County Community Hospital. Both were wearing seatbelts.
