When it comes to energy efficiency, some states in our listening area could do a better job at conserving.
According to the website, Wallet-Hub, Missouri is the 14th least energy efficient state in the nation. As for other states, Nebraska ranked 16th, Kansas ranked 23rd and Iowa ranked 24th.
For this study, Wallet-Hub looked at home and auto energy efficiency data from several US sources, including the US Energy Information Administration and the National Climatic Data Center. The least energy efficient state is South Carolina, while the most energy efficient was Utah.
