ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - St. Joseph's Quorum Initiative is hosting the city's second Madam President Camp, a leadership program for girls aged 11-13.
The three-day camp, running from July 15-17, will be held at Missouri Western State University's Fulkerson Center from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
The camp offers a supportive environment where girls can learn and practice leadership skills through themes such as civic education, activism, and communications.
Participants will work with mentors who help create meaningful connections with the curriculum.
Founded in 2012 by Dr. Lee Smithson Burd and Kansas City businesswoman Pam Kelley, Madam President Camp aims to empower girls to dream big and recognize their value in the world.
This is the first time the camp is being held outside Kansas City. The camp costs $150, and limited spaces are available. To register, visit madampresidentcamp.org.
