NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - The Morton-James Public Library in Nebraska City will be showcasing the resilience of the human spirit next month.
Speaker Bill Ganzel will present "Dust Bowl Descent" on Aug. 1 at 7 p.m.
The program, funded by Humanities Nebraska, recounts Ganzel's journey of locating and interviewing individuals who survived the Great Depression, using photographs from the Farm Security Administration.
"Dust Bowl Descent" uses compelling stories and images, comparing recent photographs with those taken 60 years ago.
The program is part of Humanities Nebraska's Speakers Bureau, which offers around 300 programs by over 165 speakers on diverse topics.
