MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville is urging parents to schedule their child's immunization appointments now to avoid delays before school starts.

For children ages 4-to-6, required vaccines include DTaP, Polio, MMRV, Hepatitis B, and Varicella. Recommended vaccines are Hepatitis A, Prevnar, and Influenza.

For children ages 11-to-13, required vaccines include Tdap and Meningococcal, with the HPV vaccine recommended. Children older than 16 or entering their junior or senior year must get a second dose of the Meningococcal vaccine.

All kids six months and older are recommended to get a flu vaccine annually. If your child plans to participate in competitive sports, ask about a sports physical too. Call (660) 562-2525 to schedule an appointment.
