JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Natural Resources Conservation Service has set Wednesday, July 31 as the deadline for applications for Conservation Stewardship Program funding under the Inflation Reduction Act.
This funding is available to agriculture producers, including those managing cropland, pastureland, hayland, and forest land, who are interested in implementing climate-smart agriculture activities.
These activities include cover crops, conservation tillage, wetland restoration, prescribed grazing, nutrient management, and tree planting.
The NRCS will process applications using the ACT NOW system, which speeds up the approval process for applications that meet a state-determined minimum ranking score and program requirements.
While CSP applications are accepted continuously, they are ranked and funded in specific enrollment periods, with deadlines set by each state. Applications received after the cut-off date will be considered in the next funding cycle.
