Princeton man seriously injured in crash

ambulance

A serious crash occurred on Route E, six miles southeast of Princeton.

The accident happened at 3:55 p.m. last Friday when 43-year-old Rachel Franklin, of Princeton, driving a 2010 Chevy HHR, crossed the center line into the eastbound lane. 27-year-old Eldo Eaglen, of Milan, was driving a 2023 GMC 3500 eastbound and attempted to avoid Franklin by swerving. Despite this, the passenger sides of both vehicles collided. Eaglen's vehicle went off the north side of the road, while Franklin's car rotated off the south side and caught fire after coming to a stop.

Franklin, who was not wearing a safety device, sustained serious injuries and was transported by LifeFlight Eagle to Saint Luke’s in Kansas City.
