ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The St. Joseph Public Library is seeking experienced teaching artists in painting, ceramics, drawing, or jewelry making to conduct workshops for older adults.
These workshops, consisting of at least eight sessions, will focus on arts education and fostering social engagement.
The selected artist will work with the programming librarian at East Hills Library and receive an instructional fee, along with payment for preparation and planning.
This pilot project has the potential to expand. Interested artists should email emurray@sjpl.lib.mo.us with “Potential Teaching Artist” as the subject line, attaching a resume with teaching experience, an artist C-V, and an artist statement detailing their interest or experience in working with older adults.
