Stolte named Maryville Police Chief

The City of Maryville has announced the appointment of Interim Police Chief Michael Stolte to the permanent role of police chief.

Stolte has worked for the Maryville Police Department for over 20 years and served as interim since January 2024 when Ron Christian retired.

Chief Stolte graduated from Park University in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Administration, then received a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and Crime management in 2016 from Bellevue University in Nebraska, and in 2021 he graduated from Northwestern Police Staff and Command School.

Throughout his career, Chief Stolte has risen through the ranks from Public Safety Officer, to Patrol Sergeant, to Lieutenant, to Interim Police Chief.
