ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri Master Gardeners are hosting their annual Tomato Fest on Thursday, Aug. 22, from 5;30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the MU Extension Office in St. Joseph. This free event is open to the public.
Attendees can get answers to their gardening questions and enjoy presentations on fall planting, producing the best tomatoes, building raised bed gardens, and sampling and rating different tomato varieties.
Free seed garlic will also be available while supplies last, along with recipes and tastings of various tomato types.
The Master Gardeners aim to help others learn to grow and are recognized for their annual plant sale, produce donations to local food banks, and the popular Tomato Fest.
