CLARINDA, Iowa - USCellular has donated 25 wireless hotspots and two years of service, worth over $28,000, to the Clarinda Public Library Foundation as part of its After School Access Project with the Lied Public Library in Clarinda.
This initiative aims to provide equitable learning access and opportunities for local youth, ensuring they stay connected for homework and education after school hours.
Officials with USCellular emphasized the importance of reliable internet access for youth to pursue their dreams.
The hotspots will connect to USCellular’s network, offering high-speed internet at the library and at home for those who check out the devices.
Since 2021, USCellular has donated over $23 million to support nonprofits with hotspots and service. Eligible nonprofits can apply for this program at afterschoolaccessproject.com.
