MARYVILLE, Mo. - The United Way of Nodaway County is just a little over $2,000 short of reaching its $48,200 fundraising goal by Aug. 31.

United Way President Joyce Cronin emphasizes the importance of meeting this target, as it will determine the funds available for distribution in 2026.

The organization plans to start its 2025 fundraising efforts on Sept. 1. This year, United Way has committed $48,200 to support eleven local non-profit agencies, despite receiving requests for nearly $80,000.

The organizations benefiting include 4-Hers, School Nurses, Community Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and others.

Donations collected are strictly used for community needs, with administrative expenses covered by a separate endowment. To contribute or get involved, email unitedwaynodawaycounty@gmail.com.
