Art and music event coming to Chillicothe

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery in Chillicothe is hosting "Gallery Grooves: Where Art Meets Music" on Monday, Aug. 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The event will feature internationally renowned classical guitarist Anthony Glise, returning after his June performance, and New York City-based guitarist Eve Weiss.

Both artists boast impressive careers, with Glise having performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and Weiss being the first American woman to receive the Toscanini Award for 19th-century chamber music.

The concert supports "Sleep Well, Ukraine," a humanitarian project raising funds to build greenhouses and send garden seeds to Ukrainian combat zones.

Tickets are on sale right now, but will be available for purchase at the door. Tickets can be purchased by calling 660-240-5022 or visiting the gallery.
