Cyclists getting ready for Wabash Trace Nature Trail

SHENANDOAH, Iowa - Cyclists and music lovers are heading for southwest Iowa this weekend for the Wabash Trace Nature Trail.

The 7th annual Wabash Trace Rooster Tail Ride takes place this Saturday and Sunday, starting in Mineola and ending in Shenandoah.

The festivities kick off Friday evening with a performance by Spare Change at 7 p.m. at Tobey Jack's in Mineola.

On Saturday morning, riders head through Silver City, where Gas N' Grass will play from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., with stops at Silver Creek Bridge, Malvern, Strahan, and Imogene throughout the day.

Performances include Magick K Acoustic, Hillyard and Sullivan, Steven Monroe, and Matt Cox. Saturday evening, Saucy Jack and Killer Queen will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Depot Deli in Shenandoah.

On Sunday, riders head back to Mineola, with Polka Police performing in Malvern from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more details, visit the Wabash Trace Facebook page.
