Elderly inmate dies at Chillicothe women's prison

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - A 74-year-old inmate at the Chillicothe women's prison has died of apparent natural causes.

The Missouri Department of Corrections confirmed the death of Connie Sanders-Ford, who was serving a life sentence for first-degree murder and armed criminal action from McDonald County.

Sanders-Ford was pronounced dead shortly before 5 a.m. Monday. No other details have been released.
