JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Agriculture announced new funding to help Missouri farmers and food processors obtain organic certification.

Through the USDA’s National Organic Certification Cost Share Program, producers can be reimbursed for up to $750 of their certification costs this year.

Missouri received over $49,000 to cover up to 75% of certification costs, with a cap of $750 per certification scope.

To qualify, businesses must obtain or renew their organic certification, document their costs from Oct. 1, 2023 to Sept. 30, 2024, and apply for reimbursement.

Applications are accepted until Nov. 1, on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information and to apply, visit the Organic Cost Share Program webpage or call 573-751-7794.
