JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is reminding hunters that the pre-season reservation period for managed waterfowl hunts runs from Sept. 1-18, with results posted on Oct. 1.

The in-season weekly drawings will be held on Mondays, with a seven-day application window opening the Tuesday before.

Missouri residents and qualifying non-residents, such as out-of-state students or military members stationed in Missouri, can apply online for reservations to secure hunting spots on specific days.

Those without reservations can try their luck by arriving early on hunting days to join the “poor line” for potential open spots. Hunters must have the necessary permits and a Federal Duck Stamp to apply.

MDC manages waterfowl hunting on over a dozen conservation areas focused on wetlands.

Half of the daily hunting spots at these managed areas are available through online reservations, with the remaining spots allocated via morning “poor line” drawings.
