MSHP: Teen seriously injured in Andrew County wreck

UNION STAR, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a teenager was seriously injured in an ATV accident in Andrew County.

The Patrol says the 17-year-old from Union Star was driving a 2004 Polaris Predator 500 on County Road 243, west of County Road 242, just three miles outside of Union Star.

At 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the teen lost control of the ATV, which went off the road and struck an embankment, ejecting the teen. The 17-year-old was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries.
