MSHP: Teen seriously injured in single-vehicle crash

emergency

PATTONSBURG, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a teenager is in serious condition after a single vehicle wreck in DeKalb County.

The Patrol says the 17-year-old from Weatherby was driving a 2006 GMC Canyon on Route D, about five miles west of old Pattonsburg.

At 10:33 a.m. Saturday, the teen failed to negotiate a curve near northeast King Road, causing the vehicle to go off the road and overturn.

The teen, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. The teen was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries.
