MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Maryville community is set to host its 150th blood drive next week in partnership with the Community Blood Center.
Over the past 30 years, nearly 15,000 life-saving donations have been made at Maryville’s drives, showcasing the community’s dedication to supporting those in need.
To celebrate this milestone, donors who participate will be entered to win a family package to the Hangar Movie Theater.
The event comes at a critical time, as blood supplies often run low during the summer due to seasonal travel, school breaks, and an increase in traumatic accidents.
The blood drive will take place at the First Baptist Church in Maryville. Donations can be made next Monday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Tuesday, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Each donation has the potential to save multiple lives, including those of cancer patients, trauma victims, and newborns. For more information on donor eligibility, visit savealifenow.org or call 800-688-0900.
