MARYVILLE, Mo. - Maryville is vying to host the 2025 University of Missouri Extension Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities Conference.

This event showcases rural downtown businesses and entrepreneurs to a diverse audience, attracting potential investors and newcomers, and generating significant economic benefits.

The conference draws about 200 attendees, boosting the local economy as they stay, shop, eat, and explore the host community.

Director of Tourism DeAnn Davison announced Maryville as a finalist, but the final selection depends on public voting. To help Maryville win, residents can vote at a link on the Visit Maryville Facebook page or by clicking HERE.

The survey is short, requiring no personal information. The conference offers rural communities a chance to share best practices and learn from each other, enhancing local entrepreneurial ecosystems. Voting ends Sept. 16.
