NWMCRS offering grants to support NWMO safety

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety is offering grants to support highway and traffic safety programs in the region.

With 49 fatalities reported in 16 counties last year, the goal is to reduce injuries and deaths on the roads.

Grants of up to $5,000 are available to schools, community groups, law enforcement, health departments, and other organizations.

Programs must focus on areas like occupant protection, distracted driving, speeding, or impaired driving. Applications are open until Aug. 30, and must be submitted online.
