St. Joseph City Manager resigns

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - St. Joseph City Manager Bryan Carter has announced his resignation, effective Sept. 6.

Carter, who has been with the city since 2011 and served as City Manager since early 2021, is stepping down to pursue other career and personal goals.

In a statement, Carter expressed gratitude for the support from the City Council, community members, and city employees.

He stated, "I have been honored to serve as sT. Joseph’s City Manager and remain excited for St. Joseph’s future."

The St. Joseph City Council will appoint an interim City Manager and begin the search for Carter's replacement immediately.
