Third and fourth graders start new year in different building

construction plans

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Maryville R-2 school students returned to the classrooms this week, but third and fourth graders were in a different building.

Third and fourth graders are starting the school year at the Maryville High School because of ongoing construction at Eugene Field Elementary by crews for JE Dunn Construction.

Superintendent Dr. Logan Lightfoot says all the construction is being done on the first floor while classes are taught on the second.

He adds that crews are working every day, including a few weekends.
